Sri Lanka Is A Year-Round Destination, But The Best Time To Visit Depends On The Region. The Best Time For The West And South Coasts And The Hill Country Is From December To March, While The Ideal Time To Visit The East Coast Is From May To September. The Country Experiences Two Monsoon Seasons, So There's Always A Good Time To Visit Somewhere In Sri Lanka.
Most visitors to Sri Lanka require an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) or visa. Citizens of many countries can apply for an ETA online before travel, while others may need to obtain a visa from a Sri Lankan embassy or consulate. The ETA is valid for 30 days and can be extended for up to 6 months. It's recommended to apply at least 24 hours before your departure.
